Built to the requirements of contractors, highway departments and heavy application professional operators, MC28 and MC35 commercial mowers are equipped with a folding ROPS frame as standard. A range of optional accessories to suit individual requirements is available.

Fuel efficient and quiet
Power is provided by a rugged 28 hp 1330 cc diesel for the MC28 and a 35 hp 1660 cc unit for the MC35. Fuel efficient and quiet, these engines are purpose-designed to operate at constant speed and are extremely smooth in operation.

Ease of operation
Series MC mowers are simple to use. The hydrostatic transmission has a low range for precise control in tough conditions and a high range for light cutting and transport. The hydrostatic control pedals are positioned for comfort and ease of operation. Changes in direction or speed can be made quickly and smoothly.

Day long comfort
New Holland believes a comfortable operator is a productive operator. The deluxe seat and steering column can be easily adjusted to provide the ideal operating position. An auxiliary power socket for a mobile telephone, radio or flashing beacon is standard.

Quick attachment points
Series MC mower deck attachment points make fitting and removal of alternative decks or implements fast and easy. To speed service access to the underside of the deck and blades, the whole unit can be flipped with the drive shaft still connected.

Hydraulic PTO clutch
The multi-plate PTO clutch can be engaged to progressively transfer power to the deck. The clutch is automatically disengaged as the deck is raised into its transport position and a PTO brake is applied. This automatic safety feature locks out drive to the deck in transport and prevents debris from being ejected as the deck is raised.

The operator platform is clear of obstructions to provide excellent visibility and can be accessed easily from either side. Combining good looks, quality build and outstanding performance, the easy-to-use MC28 and MC35 mowers are the ideal choices in demanding applications.

Low operating costs
Key features include power steering for excellent manoeuvrability and low operating costs. A large 50 litre fuel tank is standard on both models and on the MC35 is sufficient to provide up to 10 hours mowing without the need for refuelling.

Hydraulic weight transfer
To allow the deck to ‘float’ and follow ground contours without scalping turf, the weight of the mowing deck is transferred so it is carried by the power unit drive wheels. This improves traction and stability, particularly on slopes. The more powerful MC35 is equipped with large front tyres to minimise ground pressure when high capacity decks are fitted.

On demand four-wheel drive
The operator can select either automatic or permanent four-wheel drive. For most applications, the mower can be set to operate in automatic mode. Drive is directed to the rear wheels only when wheelslip is detected at the main drive wheels. Under difficult or wet mowing conditions, especially when mowing across slopes, the differential lock can be engaged to provide equal traction to both front wheels for additional control.

High dump grass collector
Side discharge decks can be used in conjunction with a high dump grass collector. The 700 litre collector lifts hydraulically and can dump over the sides of a high vehicle. A low centre of gravity is maintained for maximum stability. The collector is profiled to aid rear vision.

The capacity to cope with long wet grass
The 1.52 m and 1.83 m metre side-discharge decks have a wide, deep discharge tunnel. Strategically placed internal baffles reduce air turbulence within the cutting area. This advanced design ensures material is discharged efficiently to improve productivity in difficult conditions.
